SALS Christopher Zolecki Scholarship Fund
So often, those early in sobriety desperately need safe, sober, and structured living environments in addition to vital supportive services, so that they can build a foundation in recovery and successfully move forward in their lives. Unfortunately, those early in sobriety many times do not have the necessary resources to provide themselves with the help they need.
The SALS Christopher Zolecki Scholarship Fund was established to provide direct financial aid to those who cannot afford SALS Recovery Housing or Recovery Coaching services. All donations that are designated for the SALS Christopher Zolecki Scholarship Fund are only used for direct financial assistance to the still suffering alcoholic or addict who is seeking the services of SALS and cannot afford the associated costs.
The SALS Christopher Zolecki Scholarship Fund is named after a former SALS Recovery House Manager and the son of Tom Zolecki, the SALS General Manager. Christopher Zolecki, in his short time as a House Manager, had an immense impact on his residents and the SALS organization alike. With two years of sobriety, Christopher became a victim of this disease. Through both Christopher's life and death, he taught so much to so many people about the disease of addiction. Now his legacy will continue on at SALS through his dedicated father, Tom, and this Scholarship Fund, which will continue to help those early in sobriety, just as Christopher had done throughout his life in recovery.
